What is EMAG

European Mensas’ Annual Gathering, or EMAG, is one of the largest Mensa events in the world. Every year, around the beginning of August, hundreds of members and guests come together from all over Europe and beyond, to meet like-minded people, learn from each other, participate in fun workshops together, and discover the most interesting cities of Europe in off-the-beaten-path ways.

History of EMAG

In 2008, a group of German Mensans organised the first European gathering in Cologne, Germany, with the goal of creating a conference where people with a high IQ can enthusiastically learn at their own speed. The event was such a success that it quickly became obvious that it had to be repeated next year.
